Monthly Food Distribution: Widows with Young Children

Right now United Soup Kitchens/Colel Chabad makes a monthly delivery of groceries, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, and household supplies to 315 widowed families with young children. The families are helped without regard to location, background, or religious observance.

The cost is $150/family per month, of which 50% is a matching grant from a private donor.

Currently, these families are located in 18 municipalities:
Ashdod, Ashkelon, Beitar, Bnei Brak, Eilat, Emanuel, Jerusalem, Kfar Chabad, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi, Modiin, Matityahu, Netanya, Safed, Rehovot, Rishon LeZion and Shilo.

Each delivery includes four crates totaling 200 lbs.
